The governor and leading lawmakers on Wednesday agreed to a $500,000 settlement stemming from a deadly pursuit involving the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The State Finance Council agreed to settle the lawsuit brought by the family of a woman who was killed in March 2021 when the car she was riding in crashed after a police chase.
