State regulators are withholding support of Evergy's request to seek an electric rate increase to feed the new Panasonic plant under construction in De Soto.
In a filing late Monday afternoon, the staff from the Kansas Corporation Commission said it could not support the utility company's proposal to seek a rate increase within a year of the ongoing rate case before the commission.
