Jade Piros de Carvalho, who has played a central role in bringing high-speed internet service to Kansas, is out as the state's broadband office director.
A spokesperson for the Commerce Department confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Piros de Carvalho was no longer with the state's broadband development office. The spokesperson didn't provide a reason for the departure.
