State agencies submit $1.5 billion wish list


State agencies are requesting nearly $1.5 billion for new or supplemental services over three years, including money to comply with a Supreme Court order on school funding.

Legislative analysts detailed agency requests from outgoing Republican Gov. Jeff Colyer's administration on Wednesday for the joint Legislative Budget Committee.

Democratic Gov.-elect Laura Kelly will have 21 calendar days  from the start of the legislative session to recommend a budget. In a regular year, the governor has until the eighth calendar day of the session to submit . . .
