All that stands in the way of Kansas becoming the 34th state to enact sports wagering is the Kansas state Senate.
The Kansas House - for the third time - passed a bill that potentially breaks a four-year impasse over authorizing sports legislation in Kansas.
The House voted 73-49 to approve the bill and send it to the Senate, which has not yet voted on the sports wagering legislation this session.
