Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt teamed up with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday to fire up the Republican base and unify the party with the election for governor now seven weeks away.
In a rally at the Olathe Embassy Suites attended by a standing-room-only crowd of roughly 1,000 people, the Republican nominee for governor and DeSantis took turns taking jabs at Democratic President Joe Biden and Gov. Laura Kelly.
Together, they reemphasized Kelly's decision to close schools during the start of the pandemic, her decision to veto a "parents bill of rights" and another bill . . .
