Former Alabama U.S. Sen. Doug Jones, who was the lead prosecutor in the reopened 1963 Birmingham church bombing case that killed four African American girls, is coming to Kansas to help Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly raise money.
Jones, who upset former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore in a special election in 2017, was at the home of former House Minority Leader Paul Davis on Monday night, according to an invitation obtained by the Sunflower State Journal.
