The State Objections Board upheld the residency of Republican Kyler Sweely, who is running for a House seat in Hutchinson.
The board, made up of the secretary of state and designees of the lieutenant governor and the attorney general, rejected two objections to Sweely's candidacy.
Dawn Varney and Robin Jackson challenged Sweely's candidacy to run for the Legislature, arguing that he didn't live at his stated residence at 306th E. Seventh Ave. in Hutchinson.
