Republican Jonathon Westbrook is dropping out of the race for the 3rd Congressional District after failing to gain much momentum in the primary.
Westbrook's departure leaves Karen Crnkovich, the owner of a heating, cooling, ventilation and plumbing business; and Johnson County oncologist Prasanth Reddy to battle it out in the primary to face Democratic U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids.
Westbrook got in the race early, but he raised little money and gained very little media attention in the early stages of the race.
