Reddi ends Senate campaign

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Usha Reddi announced Thursday that she was suspending her campaign immediately.

“These unprecedented times of the coronavirus pandemic require that my work as the mayor of Manhattan be my first and only priority,” she's  said.

Reddi paused her Senate campaign in March to focus on her duties as mayor of Manhattan.

She said those responsibilities would require her focus for the foreseeable future.

“My attention must continue to be focused on the people, organizations, and businesses of Manhattan and our region,” she said.
