The battle over abortion in the Democratic gubernatorial primary heated up on Thursday as former state Rep. Josh Svaty came under increasing pressure for opposing abortion rights as a state lawmaker.
The national political group, EMILY'S List, issued a statement on Thursday urging voters to cast aside comments that Svaty made during a debate Wednesday that he would trust women to make their own health decisions.
