Lots of little news to report this week, none of which stands on its own as a story but small nuggets that have interest. Let's kick it off in the 2nd Congressional District:

Blaes leaving treasurer's office

Clint Blaes is leaving Treasurer Steven Johnson's office as communications and marketing director to return to work for his old boss, former Attorney General Derek Schmidt.

Blaes had been a top adviser to Schmidt before the attorney general left office after losing his bid for governor in 2022.
