Piano teacher seeks Holscher’s House seat

A Johnson County piano teacher has announced she's running for the Kansas House seat that will come open with Democratic incumbent Cindy Holscher running for the state Senate.

Linda Featherston is running as a Democrat for the District 16 seat, which covers parts of Lenexa and Overland Park.

Holscher is now in her second term representing the district as a Democrat.

She was elected in 2016 when she defeated conservative Republican incumbent Amanda Grosserode with 56% of the vote. She defeated Republican Sue Huff last year with about 59% of the vote.

Featherston has run an independent piano studio . . .
