Republican state Rep. Tom Phillips on Tuesday morning announced that he wouldn't seek a fifth term in the Kansas House.
“I want to thank the citizens of the 67th House District for allowing me the honor and privilege of representing you for nine years," Phillips said in a statement.
"I truly appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me to serve in the Kansas Legislature,” he said.
Phillips was initially appointed to the Kansas House to replace former Rep. Susan Mosier in 2012.
He was then elected to the Kansas House in 2012, and served three more . . .
