The National Rifle Association on Tuesday announced its endorsements for the upcoming legislative primaries set for Aug. 7.
The NRA said its decisions are not based candidates' party affiliation, only their record on Second Amendment issues. Then candidates are evaluated only on gun-related issues, the NRA said in making its announcement.
The only statewide candidates it endorsed were Republican Gov. Jeff Colyer in the Republican gubernatorial primary and Clark Shultz in the Republican primary for insurance commissioner.
