Former Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt quietly revealed Monday afternoon that he's taken a new job with the Kansas City law firm Husch Blackwell.
Schmidt posted on Faceboook that he would join the firm's state attorneys general practice after leaving office earlier this year following his unsuccessful bid for governor.
"I'm excited to represent our great clients nationwide while remaining based in Kansas," Schmidt said in posting his announcement.
