A new mysterious mailer is highlighting Democratic state Sen. Patrick Schmidt's successful effort to provide a tax deduction for a fetus earlier this year.
The mailer, which doesn't include a paid-for disclaimer, thanks Schmidt's donors for "supporting Kansas' most pro-life Democrat."
"Senator Schmidt gave us tax relief for preborn children," said the mailer with the indicia showing that the sender had a Wichita bulk mailing permit.
"When courts have chosen to side with the abortion industry over protecting preborn children, Senator Schmidt spoke up and passed a law to affirm the right to life begins . . .
