Republican U.S. Sen Jerry Moran injured his ankle on Thursday morning while hiking on Camelback Mountain in Arizona, according to various media reports.
Fox News has photos of the senator being rescued from the mountain by dozen Phoenix firefighters.
Fox reports that Moran, 65, was taken to a local hospital for treatment and plans to return to Kansas Friday to survey tornado damage.
