Newly elected House Minority Leader Vic Miller is turning to a pair of experienced Democratic hands to help oversee his transition and run the leadership office.
In a letter sent to the caucus, Miller announced that he's hiring former state Rep. R.J. Wilson as his new chief of staff.
He's also hiring Tom Laing, the former executive director of Interhab, to handle the transition from state Rep. Tom Sawyer to the new Democratic leadership team.
Laing, who had been with Interhab for 23 years, will serve a four-week appointment with the House.
