A GOP primary for secretary of state?

Former Johnson County Commissioner Mike Brown appears to be lining up to run for Kansas secretary of state in the primary against GOP incumbent Scott Schwab.

Brown, who has already filed to run for chair of the Johnson County Commission, teased an announcement on his Facebook page.

A number Republican sources across state and local government believe he will announce for secretary of state on Tuesday although campaign plans can be fluid and change rapidly.
