Republican state Sen. Rick Kloos and his wife, Pennie, are planning to run for each chamber in the Kansas Legislature next year, setting the stage to become the first married couple in the statehouse in more than 40 years.
Kloos plans to run for reelection in Senate District 3 against Democrat Dena Sattler while his wife plans to challenge Democratic state Rep. Virgil Weigel in House District 56.
