Local governments are asking state legislators to repeal a law regulating political signs they think runs afoul of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

The League of Kansas Municipalities and the Kansas Association of Counties are protesting a 2015 law that prohibits local governments from regulating placement of political signs in the public and private right-of-way for 45 days before — and two days after — an election.
