Lobbyist leaving Topeka, plans campaign for county attorney

Abraham Pfannenstiel, an attorney and a lobbyist at Kearney & Associates, is returning home to northwest Kansas, where he plans to open his own law firm and run for office.

Pfannenstiel said in a Facebook post that he will open a law office in downtown WaKeeney and will run for Trego County attorney.

"With the disparity of attorneys in rural Kansas, I am excited to provide a much-needed resource to my hometown and the surrounding areas," he said.

"Specializing in estate planning, contracts and other transactions, I am excited to facilitate conversations to ensure family farms and other legacies . . .
