House Speaker Dan Hawkins and Senate President Ty Masterson have blessed 36 bills that will remain in the mix when the Legislature returns from the turnaround break next week.
The bills cover a number of areas related to academic tenure, filling vacancies to the U.S. Senate, expanding the power of the Medicaid inspector general to investigate welfare fraud, tax credits for private school children, and regulatory sandboxes.
There were 24 bills blessed in the House and 12 blessed in the Senate.
