Legislative research director set to retire

The upcoming legislative session will be the last for J.G. Scott, the director of the Legislature's nonpartisan research arm.

Scott is planning to retire as the director of the Legislative Research Department on March 15, bringing an end to more than 30 years in state government.

"I'm starting to get a little tired," Scott said.

"I want to spend time with the grandkids, do a little traveling and a little puttering around with some projects I want to do," he said.
