Legislative leadership on Tuesday named a 14-year veteran statehouse fiscal analyst with a background in biology and the environment as the permanent director of the research department.
The Legislative Coordinating Council named former principal fiscal analyst Shirley Morrow as the new permanent director of the Kansas Legislative Research Department after she had served in an acting role the last several months.
"We appreciate everything you've done up to this point," House Speaker Dan Hawkins said.
"We believe that you have done a quality job. We look forward to the future with you at the helm of the Kansas . . .
