Lawmakers working on transportation-funding bills

Lawmakers are working on a package of bills that could help raise money for a multiyear transportation program recommended by a recent task force.

Attorneys are crafting bills that would raise fees on oversize vehicles, impose registration fees on alternative-fuel vehicles and raise the gas tax.
