The besieged Kansas Labor Department has undertaken a reorganization plan with a goal of improving customer service for the tens of thousands of Kansans needing employment benefits.
The agency announced Thursday it had named Peter Brady as deputy secretary, which was newly created as part of the reorganization.
He will oversee the communications, government affairs, fiscal and unemployment insurance administration divisions.
Brady had been working as the department's director for the Industrial Safety and Health division and as legislative liaison.
Brady has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University and a graduate certificate in project management . . .
