Attorney General Kris Kobach is urging Johnson County election officials not to destroy ballots that have been part of Sheriff Calvin Hayden's voter fraud investigation that has failed to yet produce any results.
In a letter sent Wednesday to the Johnson County election commissioner, Kobach urged the preservation of ballots and all other records related to the 2019, 2020 and 2021 primary and general elections in Johnson County.
State law requires records for local elections to be destroyed . . .
