Kobach, Mann tangle over medical marijuana, elections, abortion


Republican attorney general candidate Kris Kobach said he opposes legalization of medical marijuana, supports removing ballot drop boxes and would challenge efforts by the federal government to "coerce" local schools into allowing transgender females to play girls sports.

Democratic attorney general candidate Chris Mann said he supports legalizing medical marijuana if it's enacted by the Legislature, opposes removing ballot drop boxes and said the issues related to transgender athletes should be left to schools and sports authorities.
