Attorney General Kris Kobach has filed his first lawsuit accusing a foreign company of violating a new state law because it operates 13 websites offering sexual content to Kansans without verifying whether someone is under 18.
Kobach accuses the company - SARJ, LLC - of violating a state law enacted last year that requires adult websites to verify that someone is 18 or older before giving them access to the content. Nineteen states have passed age-verification laws nationally.
