The Kansas National Education on Tuesday announced that it was endorsing Democratic state Sen. Laura Kelly and her running mate, state Sen. Lynn Rogers, in the general election. The KNEA declined to make an endorsement in the Democratic primary when it thought it had a field of quality candidates to choose from.
In other endorsements for statewide office on Tuesday, the KNEA backed: Republican Vicki Schmidt for Insurance Commissioner and Democrat Brian McClendon for secretary of state.
