Gov. Laura Kelly on Wednesday named Keynen Wall to the Kansas Supreme Court, her second appointment to the high court since taking office last year.
Kelly passed over Kansas Court of Appeals Judge Thomas Malone and Assistant Solicitor General Steve Obermeier to pick Wall to replace former Chief Justice Lawton Nuss.
Wall, who likes to be called K.J., is a partner in the Forbes Law Group of Overland Park, where his work focuses on the business of health care.
