Kelly names new secretary of administration


Gov. Laura Kelly on Tuesday turned within her own administration to name Budget Director Adam Proffitt as secretary of administration.

She also picked Jeff Maxon to serve as interim chief information technology office for the State of Kansas.

Proffitt will serve in an acting capacity until the Senate confirms him as the new head of the agency.

Both positions were previously held by DeAngela Burns-Wallace, who is leaving the state's employment at the end of this week.
