(Updated to correct statement from the governor indicating she was proposing a three-day sales tax holiday. It is four, according to the bill).

Gov. Laura Kelly on Monday got out in front of an approaching tax debate, unveiling a plan for a sales tax holiday for school supplies, cutting taxes on Social Security and speeding up elimination of the state sales tax on food.

Kelly rolled out a $500 million tax plan that she said would responsibly cut taxes for Kansans . . .
