Interim Kansas Transportation Secretary Julie Lorenz is lining up her top management staff at the agency.
Lorenz is bringing back highway department veterans Maggie Doll, Lindsey Douglas and Burt Morey.
Doll, who worked two stints at the Kansas Department of Transportation from 2002 to 2008 and again from 2010 to 2012, is joining the department as Lorenz's chief of staff.
She is coming back to the highway department from Burns & McDonnell, where she worked as a strategic consultant.
She also worked as a senior communications specialist for Parsons Brinckerhoff and communications director for the Kansas Department of Health . . .
