UPDATED: Kansas Democratic Party executive director stepping down

Ethan Corson is stepping down as executive director of the Kansas Democratic Party after a year in which Democrats elected a governor and congresswoman.

Corson, who has served as the party's executive director since 2017, will leave the position when a replacement starts.

"Serving as executive director has been one of the great honors of my life," Corson said in a statement.
