Kansas Chamber passes on attorney general’s race

The political arm of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce is taking a pass on getting involved in the race for Kansas attorney general after its preferred candidate didn't prevail in the Republican primary.

The chamber's political action committee opted not to endorse in the race that pits Democratic attorney Chris Mann of Lawrence against Republican former Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

The chamber had endorsed state Sen. Kellie Warren of Leawood over Kobach in the primary, a move that was unprecedented for one of the state's most influential business groups.
