UPDATED: Kansas abortions reach highest point since ’01

In the year after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned its historic decision legalizing abortion, Kansas recorded the most abortions since 2001 as nearby states limited or banned the procedure, new data out Friday showed.

The new report released by the state showed that there were 12,318 abortions during 2022,  a 57% increase from 2021 and the highest number since 2001, when there were 12,422 abortions reported, according to . . .
