Republican congressional candidate Jeff Kahrs on Tuesday morning launched his first television ad in the 2nd District congressional race.
The new ad plays up his connection to former President Donald Trump, who polling shows was viewed favorably by 71% of likely GOP primary voters in the district.
Kahrs served in Trump’s administration as the director of Region 7 for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Kansas City, Missouri.
He is now a senior adviser to outgoing U.S. Rep. Jake LaTurner, who is not seeking a second term representing the 2nd District.
