Gov. Laura Kelly on Tuesday turned to a communications professional from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as her new communications director.
Ana Nixon, a senior supervisor of internal communications at the Fed, will replace Brianna Johnson, who left in February to take a job with President Joe Biden's campaign.
"I am confident that Ana’s skills and leadership experience will make her an invaluable part of my team,” Kelly said in a statement.
“I welcome her expertise and look forward to working with her in this role.”
Nixon had been with the Kansas City Fed since 2016 . . .
