Judge tosses legal contest of lawmaker’s election


The legal controversy over Adam Thomas' election to the Kansas House came to an end Friday in Johnson County District Court.

Judge Sara Welch dismissed a legal contest challenging Thomas' 2018 election over questions about where he lived when he filed to run for the Legislature.

Welch's ruling brings an end to a controversy that spanned more than a year. Thomas was charged with SSJ
