Former lawmaker to lead children’s group


Former state Rep. John Wilson will take the helm of Kansas Action for Children, replacing Annie McKay who is leaving next month.

The organization announced the change in leadership on Friday afternoon. Wilson now serves as the group's vice president of advocacy. He's been with KAC since 2017.

"I'm honored to step up as KAC marks 40 years of working on behalf of Kansas children and families," said Wilson, a former three-term Democratic House member from Lawrence.
