Judge considers whether transgender Kansans can intervene in gender marker case

The American Civil Liberties Union on Wednesday asked a judge to allow five transgender Kansans to make their case for allowing Kansans to change their gender markers on driver’s licenses.

The ACLU urged Shawnee County District Judge Teresa Watson to allow transgender Kansans to intervene in the case brought by Attorney General Kris Kobach, who is  challenging the state policy of allowing gender maker changes on driver's licenses.

The ACLU argued that its clients are affected by the outcome of a case . . .
