A Johnson County judge on Tuesday agreed to let Johnson County government intervene in a lawsuit that Sheriff Calvin Hayden brought independently against an Overland Park man accused of harassing sheriff’s deputies and employees.
District Judge Christopher Jayaram agreed to allow the county to intervene in the lawsuit after not being able to identify any part of the law that allowed Hayden to bring civil litigation independently outside the scope of his law enforcement work.
