Duane West, the Finney County attorney who successfully prosecuted the notorious "In Cold Blood" murder case, has died. He was 92.
West, an ardent Democrat who ran for Congress against Pat Roberts in the Kansas 1st District, died Dec. 6 at the Ranch House senior living facility in Garden City.
West was described in his obituary as "a lifelong, unapologetic Democrat and political junkie."
