The Kansas House on Wednesday agreed on a bill holding fathers responsible for picking up the cost of child support from the moment of conception.
The House voted 85-34 to approve a similar bill that Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed last year, saying that Kansans already indicated they don’t want lawmakers involved in personal matters.
The Legislature adjourned . . .
