House Republicans introduce new education plan

House Republican leadership on Tuesday rolled out a wide-ranging school finance plan that includes accountability measures and a hotly debated program that would let bullied students use public money to attend a private school.

The new plan developed by Republican state Rep. Kristey Williams, chair of the K-12 Education Budget Committee, would put $90 million into schools in 2020 and 2021 but not in 2022 and 2023.

The plan is starkly different from SSJ
