The Kansas House on Monday approved a bill with just one supporter that prohibits state employers from making hiring decisions based solely on whether someone has a college degree.

The House voted 90-32 to approve a bill that's intended to address workforce demands by addressing what the bill calls "degree inflation" as more employers rely on college degrees over relevant work experience in making hiring decisions.
