Holland says he won’t seek re-election to Senate

Democratic state Sen. Tom Holland of Baldwin City said Wednesday that he's had a change of heart and won't run again for the state Senate so he can strike at a key time for some business opportunities.

Holland said last summer that he planned to reestablish residency and run for the seat in the newly created Senate District 19.

Redistricting had moved Republican state Sen. Rick Kloos from District 19 into District 3, which Holland now represents.
